Warm Water Drinks For A Healthy Winter Season

This hot water drink is an immunity boosting concoction of lemon juice, turmeric, honey and hot water. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which relax tense body muscles and flush out toxins from your liver and kidneys.
Directions: Take 1 cup of boiling water and squeeze 1/2 a lemon into it. Add 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric, 1/2 spoonful of honey and a pinch of red chili powder to the mix. Stir the beverage for a minute and it is ready to serve.
Ginger Honey Tea
Ginger is an immunity boosting ingredient that helps in digestion, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia, the effects of which can be more troubling during cold weather. Ginger also has antitussive properties which make it a great agent for relieving cough and cold. The Ginger Honey Tea is just what you need to get your body ready for the winter.
Directions: Drop 3 ounces of sliced ginger roots into 1 and a 1/2 cup of water. Boil and strain the mixture. Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of honey before serving.
Cinnamon Hot Toddy
Another healthy drink that offers muscle relaxation and immunity boost, and not to mention a delightful aftertaste is the Cinnamon hot toddy. It can also serve as a cocktail drink.
Directions: Combine 1/2 a cup of Cinnamon bark syrup, 3 cups of hot water, 2 spoonfuls of honey and 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice in a tall jar. Stir and garnish with a cinnamon stick. For preparing the Cinnamon bark syrup, add equal quantities of sugar and water and 3 cinnamon sticks in a pan. Bring the mixture to a boil and remove the stick as it cools.
